DAY 1: Arrival day, Tanzania

This is your arrival day at Kilimanjaro International Airport where we will pick you up and

transfer you to a lodge in Arusha. On this day our safari manager will meet you at the lodge

to give you a short safari briefing and leave you to relax. Dinner is included at the lodge for

your first night.

Overnight is at Ilboru Safari Lodge.

DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your driver will be waiting at your accommodation, ready to depart for

Tarangire National Park in about two hours. The wonder of this natural reserve is enhanced by

the enormous baobab trees, the bush savannah, and the periodic marshes. One of the finest

sites to see elephants up close is the Tarangire National Park. Additionally, the park is home to

buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, all of which are always being attentively watched by a

variety of predators including lions. Although cheetahs are rarely observed, leopards are

occasionally sighted. You may take in the scenery and observe the wildlife from the safari

vehicle’s open top. You arrive at your park lodge in the evening.

Overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge or Lake Burunge Tented Lodge. All meals included.

DAY 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After your first night in Tanzania, this morning we leave for the Lake Manyara National Park, and a half drive from Arusha. We will arrive at around 10 Am and after registration formalities at the park we enter the park for game drives until time for lunch. Lunch will be served at one of the Picnic sites in this park then continue with Game drives all afternoon. In the late afternoon, we will drive to Marera Valley Lodge or Country Lodge for dinner and overnight. Family rooms are available. Hot lunch can be served at the lodge if you wish and if necessary for children.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater

The best of an African family Safari can not be complete without a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater. The world's largest unbroken caldera that is also the largest natural zoo; Ngorongoro Crater is unparalleled in terms of animal concentration in the whole world. This day will be spent exploring this eighth-world wonder with a picnic lunch served at the hippo poolside. If you are lucky you can spot all the big 5, in one day. Later in the afternoon, you will drive up the Crater rim for overnight at Rhino Lodge.

DAY 5: Olduvai Gorge - Serengeti.

After breakfast at the lodge on this day we drive on to Olduvai Gorge but first, we make a brief stop at a Masai Village if you so wish. The Olduvai Gorge is the point where the hominids Australopithecus Boisei was discovered by Louis and Mary Leakey, a discovery that later led to the theory of evolution and that Africa is the Cradle of mankind. We will continue on our way to Serengeti National Park via Naabi Hill Gate. We will continue with game drives all afternoon and later check in to the lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight. You can Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge or at Into Wild Africa Luxury Tented Camp or Acacia Central if you want that “Out of Africa” feeling and if you can share tents with Children.

DAY 6: Full-day Serengeti National Park

Here on this day, you can go for a very early morning game drive if you wish then back to the lodge/tented camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you will spend the rest of the day in the Serengeti plains doing game drives if you wish. You may choose to do a morning game drive and relax during the afternoon. Serengeti Sopa Lodge has a swimming pool where children can take an afternoon dip to cool off from the African Sun.

Overnight at Into Wild Africa Luxury Tented Camp or Acacia Central.

DAY 7: Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge/camp and drive to the Seronera Airstrip with game drives en route. At Seronera you will take your flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival, you

will be met at the Airport by a driver who will transfer you to Zanzibar Pearl Boutique Hotel & Villas (Oyster Villa Room) Dinner is included at the resort.

DAY 8 - DAY 11: Zanzibar Beach

You will spend these days at the beach resort relaxing. Here you may take on any activities offered at the beach resort where there is a diving Centre at the site.

Overnight at Zanzibar Pearl Boutique Hotel & Villas (Oyster Villa Room)

DAY 12: Spice Plantation Tour

You will check out of the beach resort this morning and drive to Stonetown with a visit to the Spice plantation on the way. You will be offered a guided and well informative tour of the ancient plantations. Lunch will be served at the Plantation then drive in the afternoon to Stonetown.

Overnight will be at Tembo House Hotel.

DAY 13: Stonetown Tour

After breakfast, you will relax until about 10 am when we go for a guided tour of the Stonetown. This tour will offer us the rare chance to explore this ancient town and get to see the old cathedrals and other historically important buildings on the island. These buildings include the People’s Palace, the House of Wonders, and the Old Fort.

Overnight will be at Tembo House Hotel.

DAY 14: Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for departure

After breakfast at the beach resort, you will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport for your flight back home.
